Neena Plant learned wheel-thrown pottery at Pioneer Craft House in the Salt Lake valley, along with lapidary and silversmithing. Because there was a long gap after her initial coursework, she re-learned wheel-thrown pottery by observing several YouTube potters who showed the basics, and she took over from there on her own. Now wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery has been Neena’s main artistic focus over the last 5 or 6 years.
Neena’s career as an artist began as a child, drawing and painting regularly, and has included five years of full-time work as a graphic artist, as well as many years of volunteer work for Utah Watercolor Society.
